today and yesterday games in Europe

Here are a few thoughts from our team.

Today, the urban way of life and the development of our technology have removed us from our natural environment - the neighbourhood, the courtyard or the field – thus from the game and also they have led us in front of a screen (of television, mobile phone, computer or play station).

Initially, we present to you some of the ancient games from various countries.

We tried collect and record the games that our grandparents and parents
played outside the house, in neighbourhoods and yards.
Our information comes from our grandparents and parents.

The most popular games in our region were:
Tsiliki
by Areti

tzami,keramidakia , the mosque
by Anastasia

The hopscotc, koutso
by Anastasia

PLACE

Koutso was being played in out door places with cement in the floor! They did not want the floor being barley or soil because they were not content when soil caused dust!

RUBBLE

The only rubble that we need is a tile with amplitude of a hand!

RULES OF THE GAME

With the tile we were drawing on the oblong square length 180 cm and width 140 cm .This oblong square was being separated in 4 equal parts .Then they counted the parts with numbers 1-4. They dropped the tile on the first oblong square and they jumped on it with their one leg. Then trying balance themselves they pulled the tile to the second, third and fourth oblong square. At the fourth oblong square the player take down his leg some seconds and then it takes the comeback way to the first oblong square. After that they pulled the tile to the second oblong square and they jumped from the first to the second and the third and fourth oblong square! Then they pulled the tile to the third and later to the fourth oblong square and they played with the same way! Thy never forgot to take down their leg at the fourth oblong square!

However there were some tips they need to look out:

  • You mustn’t touch the line
  • You mustn’t pull the tile to the line
  • You mustn’t pull the tile out of the oblong square
  • You mustn’t take down your leg at the 1,2,3 oblong

squares

THE WINNER IS THE PLAYER WHO WILL DO ALL THE CHAMPS SUCCESSFULLY!!!!!
